Blwyddyn 2

The Southeast Wales Industrial Ironworks Landscapes Project was concerned with identifying, quantifying, mapping and describing industrial landscapes and features associated with the coke-fired ironworks of the Heads of the Valleys area. This project allowed the survival and condition of the resource to be assessed, potential threats and levels of protection were established, and a series of recommendations for management and further protection were made. The project was spread over six years between 2004 and 2010.

Roedd Blwyddyn 2 y prosiect (2005-06) yn ymwneud â'r rhwydweithiau cludiant sy'n gysylltiedig â'r gweithfeydd haearn. Roedd astudiaeth Blwyddyn 2 yn canolbwyntio'n bennaf ar waith maes. Ymchwiliwyd i oroesiad olion ar hyd y llwybrau cludiant, gan gofnodi'r cyflwr ac asesu arwyddocâd archaeolegol cyffredinol neu botensial fesul rhwydwaith. Daeth yr astudiaeth o hyd i o leiaf 25 o rwydweithiau tramffyrdd (15 ohonynt yn rhai newydd eu canfod), wedi'u rhannu'n wahanol isadrannau (ee 44 o rwydweithiau a changhennau cludiant). Daethpwyd o hyd i tua 219 o safleoedd ychwanegol ac ychwanegwyd at hyd at 59 o safleoedd y CAH.
