Caring For Monuments

Planning ServicesWhether you are conserving the past or regenerating historic buildings for the future, or found a chance find or even discovered a new site? Our Heritage Management staff are always pleased to offer help and information.

Not sure what you've found? For the identification of a monument we will usually ask you to send in photographs - sometimes this is all that it necessary for us to make an identification, though with more unusual or complicated sites we will probably need to make a site visit. You never know you could have something really special!

As regards conservation, or if you are thinking of restoring a monument we can provide advice and guidance on an effective management framework*, as well as information on legal and statutory duties.

*The staff of the Heritage Management division regrets that they cannot draw up a scheme of works or provide costings for such ventures.
