Summary Another post-medieval enclosed agricultural landscape. Historical background The historic landscape area of Blaen-y-Dyffryn comprises a surviving area of post-medieval agricultural enclosures associated with the holding of Blaen-y-Dyffryn on the edge of the active Vaynor Quarry. The area is relatively small and shares characteristics with the wider agricultural landscape of the Glais Valley area to the north and east of the boundary of the Merthyr Tydfil historic landscape. |
